Sustainability

Delaris worked with Sustainability At Work on our Silver Certification. The certification program was retired in 2021, however we use the sustainability actions outlined in that certification to guide our current policy. We recommend the Green Office Checklist for those interested in learning more about sustainability best practices. Delaris opts for low waste, energy efficient, non-toxic and renewable choices.

Reduce Reuse Recycle

Delaris is committed to recycling and waste reduction. To achieve our goals, we:

Recycle paper, metal cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles/jars

Take broken or outdated electronics to Free Geek

Donate excess office supplies to local charitable organizations

Reuse packaging material (boxes, bags, peanuts & bubble wrap) from purchases.

Opt for paperless

Use only electronic payroll & invoicing

Share & edit documents online

Avoid printing – if it cannot be avoided:
   Print on both sides
Use the blank sides of old printouts for scratch paper
Use only paper with at lease 30% recycled content

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Delaris is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our human capital is our most valuable asset. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent that employees and team members invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation and an organization’s achievements as well.

We embrace and encourage differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make teams unique.

Initiatives

Delaris’s diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; social and recreational programs; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment that encourages:

Respectful communication and cooperation between all parties.

Teamwork and employee participation, encouraging the representation of all groups and perspectives.

Work/life balance through flexible work schedules to accommodate employees’ varying needs.

Employer and employee contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for the diversity.

Responsibilities

All employees of Delaris have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times.

All employees are required to review diversity awareness training materials to enhance their knowledge and fulfill this responsibility. ß

Any employee found to have exhibited any inappropriate conduct or behavior against others may be subject to disciplinary action.

Employees or participants who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the company’s diversity policy and initiatives should seek assistance from leadership.
